Optical Nodes
The Optical Nodes are designed for operation in hybrid networks. They ensure reception and conversion of optical signal to RF signal in forward path and conversion of RF signal to optical signal and its transmission (or data transmission) in return path. Two different fibers or different wavelengths of the same fiber are used for reception and transmission. Such technology is implemented in RFoG networks, for example.
